✈️ In the 1970’s, FedEx changed the world with overnight delivery service starting with 14 Falcon jets requiring highly qualified pilots. Between 1973 and 1981, FedEx hired its first cadre of black pilots. They are known as The Magnificent Seven. As our Founder and Executive Chairman, Frederick W. Smith, recently noted, the legacy of the Magnificent Seven extends far beyond what they achieved in the flight deck. Thousands of our aviators today stand on their shoulders. In celebration of Black History Month, we are honoring them.
