When speaking about symphonic music in Miami, one name stands at the center of the city’s cultural story: Maestro Eduardo Marturet.

An internationally acclaimed conductor, composer, and producer, Marturet serves as the Music Director and CEO of the Miami Symphony Orchestra (MISO), Miami’s official professional symphony orchestra.

Founded in 1989, MISO has become one of South Florida’s leading cultural institutions. Through world-class performances, educational initiatives, and international collaborations, its mission is to make symphonic music accessible to audiences of all generations.

Under Maestro Marturet’s leadership, MISO has expanded its global reach with a repertoire that blends classical masterpieces, contemporary works, film scores, jazz, and Latin influences. Among its most notable achievements is the creation and premiere of the Official CONCACAF Anthem, composed and conducted by Maestro Marturet, reinforcing the orchestra’s growing international presence.

MISO’s leadership also includes Athina Marturet, who serves as President, and internationally renowned producer and multi-award-winning artist Emilio Estefan, who serves as Chairman, helping strengthen the orchestra’s vision and global impact.

Being the Media Partner of the Miami Symphony Orchestra (MISO) reflects Behind The Scenes Miami’s commitment to documenting and sharing the stories behind one of Miami’s most influential cultural institutions. This partnership is further strengthened through our Creative Director, Ventura Glez, who also serves as Creative Director of MISO, contributing to the orchestra’s visual identity and creative storytelling.

Together, we continue building a bridge between artists, institutions, and a community that believes culture is one of Miami’s greatest legacies.
