Track 117: The Boy, the Girl, and the Weapon #5

The fighting escalates. Nier and Yonah (and, briefly, Kaine) huddle away from the battle; Yura attempts to engage the Red Eye using the P-22. When the Red Eye gains the upper hand, he orders the robot to fight harder. The P-22 responds to his unrealistic demands by exploding.
As things get worse, Kali begins freaking out that the soldiers are doing more damage to her home than the monsters are. She begins moving herself closer to the actual combat so she can air her grievances at Yura, but unfortunately the Legion troops catch sight of her and attack. Kaine runs out to try and drag her grandparents back to safety, but before she can Kali is directly attacked by the Legion. Grandpa just barely gets her out of the way and takes the attack himself, and is shortly crushed by Red Eye. Kaine takes this poorly.
Yura realizes that he's going to have to kill rather than capture the Red Eye and has his men drag Emil onto the scene. Yura explains that Emil is going to have to petrify the Red Eye. Emil protests and reminds him that anything caught in his line of sight will be petrified. Yura laments the situation and tricks Emil into the battle anyway. After a few seconds -- and several petrified soldiers -- Emil forces himself to stop. Yura again laments the situation and drugs the kid. Whatever he used forces Emil's powers to go haywire, and Yura, deciding that the situation has escalated a bit further than he cares to admit, flees the scene.
A helicopter arrives, bearing with it more troops, this time ordered to arrest the men who started the fighting in the first place. Nier assures Yonah everything will be okay, and tries to do the same for Kaine. Kaine, who is presently wearing most of her grandfather's intestinal tract, does not believe him.
