The Lost Words and the Red Sky
Track 109: Emil / Weapon
Somewhere in the world, a man answers the phone. He's the director of the National Weapons Research Organization, and the call has left him in a sour mood. Kali contacted him and, using her sway over the organization (as she's now privately funding them to keep them from being shut down completely) has called in a favor. He complains angrily to his second-in-command. She lets him vent.
As they talk, Emil enters the room and tells the assistant that he has some music he wants her to listen to. She gently turns him away, saying that she's busy but she'll be in shortly to listen. Happy with the response, Emil leaves.
The director expresses simultaneous amazement and fear at the inhuman abilities of the boy, and eventually refers to his power as 'monstrous'. The assistant, who has been acting as Emil's mother for the last several years, is unhappy with that kind of talk and lets the director know it. He backs down.
The phone rings again. The director wonders whether there was an accident with their 'transport'. The assistant asks what he's talking about. He does not respond.
Note: The Drama CD is exclusively in Japanese. I do not have an English translation, nor have I been able to find one; if you happen to know of one, please tell me and I will gladly post it here.
