Chapter 2 of “The Lore of Metroid” tells the origin story of Samus Aran.

From her early childhood on K2-L to her transformation into one of the galaxy’s most legendary hunters.
This chapter follows Samus’s journey through loss, Chozo adoption, brutal training, and the defining events that shaped her into the warrior known as The Hunter.

Using lore from Metroid, Metroid Zero Mission, Metroid Samus Returns, Metroid Dread and the Metroid Manga, this video explores Samus’s upbringing among the Chozo, her training under Old Bird and Gray Voice, and the escalating tensions with Ridley and the Space Pirates. It also connects these early events to the rise of Mother Brain and the growing threat that will eventually lead Samus back to Zebes.

This chapter provides a detailed look at the psychological and emotional foundations of Samus Aran’s character. Her trauma, her resilience, and the extraordinary circumstances that forged her into the hunter we know today.

“The Lore of Metroid” is a multi-part documentary series that tells the story of the Metroid universe as clearly and faithfully as possible. Each chapter combines the games, official lore, and supplemental material into one continuous narrative.
