The Lord of the Rings: War in the North Legacy Edition stealth-dropped on Nintendo Switch and Switch 2, and as someone who enjoyed the original back in 2011, I had to check this Aspyr port for myself. In this review, I dig into the combat, skill trees, local co-op, and overall feel of this linear action RPG, with a particular focus on how it performs on Switch 2, the lock-on and camera issues, whether the gore and weight still hold up, and if it’s worth picking up in 2026 or best left to nostalgia.
