In this week’s Longevity News Roundup, Phil Newman examines how longevity is developing the clinical standards, biological models and infrastructure needed to move from promising technology toward real-world medicine.

- Viome’s acquisition of Circulate Health brings therapeutic plasma exchange into a platform built around diagnostics, nutrition and coaching. Circulate’s network spans more than 200 partner clinics, creating a “measure, act, remeasure” model, while recent data on microplastics and biological age highlight the gap between measurable changes and proven healthspan outcomes.
- Longevity Clinics World and the Healthy Longevity Medicine Society have signed an MOU focused on evidence-based medicine, shared terminology, education, quality improvement and standardization. The collaboration also emphasizes that future accreditation must have separate governance and independent oversight.
- Kailera Therapeutics reported an active IND for ribupatide oral, with initiation of global Phase 3 obesity trials planned for the first half of 2027, and says its ribupatide injection Phase 2b high-dose obesity trial is fully enrolled with data anticipated in mid-2027; global Phase 3 KaiNETIC enrollment is on track for more than 4,700 participants with data expected in 2028.
- Immorta Bio proposes combining multi-omics, AI, digital twins and secure patient-owned data into a continuously learning precision-medicine system. Exploratory metabolomic data from more than 2,000 individuals identified nine metabolites associated with age.
- Insilico Medicine is developing its Virtual Aging Cell platform to model biological change across six interconnected scales, making biological age a core variable rather than simply an output. The key question is whether these simulations can generate predictions that survive experimental and clinical validation.
