This casting-on tutorial shows you how to do the popular long tail cast on method but using the thumb method rather than the slingshot method.
So far on my channel I've used the slingshot technique mostly, however the thumb method is perhaps easier for beginners and is more similar to the English style of holding the working yarn rather than the Continental way.

I'll show you how to cast on knitwise and purlwise in this video, and I hope you find it useful!
