[PART ONE OF TWO] On Saturday, August 11th, 2018, the first of four protests against the policies of the Jehovah's Witnesses organization took place in London at the ExCel Convention Center.
With what turned out to be one of the biggest protests against JW.org of its kind, ex-members and others carried signs, banners, and illustrations of how the religion - deemed by many as a cult - has harmed and disenfranchised them through cruel doctrines. These include doctrines that protect those who would harm children and prohibit life-saving blood transfusions.
MARK from Talk Beliefs along with MEG from the Meg Slaymaker YouTube channel document this first day of protest, talking to protesters, Jehovah's Witnesses, and the public.
This version has some small extensions and fixes to the previous version available elsewhere on Talk Beliefs.
**As of March 2019, a change has been made to the Jehovah's Witness' elders handbook regarding the Two Witness Rule in regards to sexual abuse. A second witness is no longer necessary, however the branch office must be called. Although it is still not advised to call the police this is the first time that the Two Witness Rule has bowed to pressure to change.
