This is a spoiler free English review of LAPLAND ODYSSEY from Finland, or as I like to call it, "The Little Finnish Film that Could" (this film is also known as Napapiirin sankarit, which actually means "The Heroes of the Arctic Circle").

Perhaps it isn't that Lapland Odyssey is one of the best Finnish films, but it's certainly a very Finnish film. The comedy from Finland stars Pamela Tola, Jussi Vatanen, Timo Lavikainen, Jasper Pääkkönen and Rinna Paatso.
This film is directed by Dome Karukoski and was written by Pekko Pesonen. Finland has a surprising amount of talented writers and film directors.
