Two of the nighttime light shows of the "Life Sized Unicorn Gundam Statue" in front of DiverCity Tokyo Plaza, located in Odaiba, Tokyo.
The videos are:
“MOBILE SUIT GUNDAM UNICORN Special Movie” Ver.2.0 “Cage” SawanoHiroyuki[nZk]:Tielle" (8pm)
and
“FLY! GUNDAM 2017” (8:30pm)
They take place every 30 minutes from 7pm, so there's a bunch of others beside these ones. Nice that they used the classic Gundam theme for one, but a shame I missed the Unicorn soundtrack one, which is the 7pm performance.
Unicorn is being retired in August of 2026, so had to get down to film the night shows before then. There was a notice about some parts malfunctioning; he is getting old and close to retirement after all. I saw the original RX-78-2 Gundam statue in 2014, which emitted smoke and its head moved, but didn't transform obviously. Kind of miss the smoke machine but not sure that would be canon.
And of course, it wouldn't be a Gundam video without Sunrise/Bandai Namco claiming the copyright on it because of the music!
