This March, we are reading The Liars' Club by Mary Karr together. This is one of the most influential American memoirs of the last fifty years - raw, darkly funny, and brutally honest. If we are serious about becoming deeply well-read, we cannot ignore modern memoir. We start here.

Our target finish date is March 27th, the last Friday in March. On that day, we will host a live group discussion video about the book.

The book is approximately 320 pages long. To stay on track, aim for about 80 pages per week. That pace will comfortably get you to the finish line by March 27.

We will also have an ongoing discussion inside the Voxer group throughout the month. If you would like to join the Voxer discussion, contact me directly using the information above and let me know you want in.
As we read, I encourage you to document your experience:

Post comments under the videos.

Share reflections in Voxer.

And consider making your own videos about your reading journey through the book.

This is not just a passive read. It is a shared reading experience.

In this video, I talk about:

Why this memoir matters

What to expect from the tone and subject matter

Why nonfiction belongs in a serious reading life

And how this book fits into our larger literary journey

Get your copy. Start reading. And let me know if you are joining us.
