Ah, the Hyrule Castle Chasm...
I saw the nearby Camobatures lightroot on my way down, lit up the surrounding area and saw how the chasm kept going deeper into the earth. I made the jump and as I kept getting deeper, the diving thme fades out and the name "Gloom's Approach" appeared on my screen. I knew that this place was a completely different experience compared to what I had seen below ground.
To me, Gloom's Approach is NOT a part of the surrounding Depths, it is an extension of Hyrule Castle's subterranean complex. The geography of this place is completely unique and no part of it is mirrored on Hyrule's surface. It's clever how they managed to get around the inverted geography by placing a linear segment or ruins knowing that Hyrule Castle is located on an elevated island surrounded by a moat.
