After almost a full year, here is the next chapter of Korra 3DS. Like Codename: Kids Next Door, I realized awhile ago that if this let's play were to continue it would never be finished. Between the copyright issues and general lack of editing that I can do with the gameplay style, this series just has not been that enjoyable to make and the time investment just isn't worth it. Especially since the views are a bit lower compared to the other series, so it actually hurts the channel a bit—that being said, I sincerely thank each and every one of you for watching this series, it truly means a lot and I'm sorry for those who wanted more of this series! So, I have decided that following this chapter, the series will continue as a no commentary let's play. I started working on this chapter last year (I think?) and so I decided to finish it up before ending, which is why I'm still uploading this chapter, it's a better send off than not uploading for a year. Things are going to be a little bit different for the no commentary version though. Treating it more like an archive of the game, chapters will not be split into parts (however long the chapter takes is how long the video will be), and will feature minimal editing, really only cutting if I pause the game for more than a few seconds. I also won't be muting the audio like I had done with this version, meaning it is going to get hit for copyright. There shouldn't be any blocking, but the videos won't be monetised by me and all ad revenue will go to the claimant, so if you want to support the channel, please consider watching some of the other videos! Views go a long way. I have no idea how this series is going to affect my channel's standing in the grand algorithm because of that copyright, but I don't want to put it up on Jub2nd. As the background audio during the chapter doesn't always get hit, I am debating having a second version that has only the menu audio muted, but I'll have to do some tests before deciding that. This chapter consists of three parts, so the series will officially end on July 8 (365 days after Chapter 9, Part 1 coincidentally). I do have two bits of good news. The first is that I have fully recorded the remaining chapters, so the no commentary version should go up daily barring any major issues. I don't have a set date for this but it will be starting from Chapter 1. The second bit of good news is that the next commentary LP is in the planning stages. Get ready for SpongeBob SquarePants: The Cosmic Shake! I finally have a new capture card that is compatible with my new computer (which was an absolute struggle to find one that was) that can record modern games, but some technical issues have popped up with the recording set up and my PS5, but since it's also a PS4 game, plan B is recording on that. Also don't have a date for this one since I have yet to have a day I can even start recording, but I am determined! Okay, that's all I had to say. Released for the Nintendo 3DS on October 28, 2014, The Legend of Korra: A New Era Begins is a turn-based strategy RPG set between the events of Seasons 2 and 3 of the show. It follows the titular hero and the extended Team Avatar as they try to get Korra's bending restored after having it stripped away by a mysterious chi blocker, while hopefully finding some answers as to who he is along the way. Meanwhile, the Triple Threat Triad and the Equalists' chi blockers, the latter thought to have been disbanded, appear to have teamed up and are set on making sure Korra can't him track down. In order to take on the mysterious chi blocker and the rest of her foes, it will be up to Korra to reconnect with her bending abilities and her Avatar self.
The game follows a similar premise to the other Legend of Korra game by Platinum Games released on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC, however, there are numerous changes, particularly in the levels and the fact that this game is a tactical/strategy RPG where you play as Team Avatar and friends, instead of the solo-Korra beat 'em up gameplay of the console/PC release.
