The Lebanese National Library, located in Beirut, is the national library of Lebanon. It closed to the public in 1979 due to the Lebanese Civil War, and its surviving collections were placed in storage. Restoration of its volumes and planning for a new site began in 1999.

Since 2007, and upon the Minister of Culture's recommendation, the Lebanese Government has taken on the responsibility for financing the Revival Project of the Lebanese National Library, in continuation of the Rehabilitation Project funded by the European Union from 2003 to 2006.
