HAPPY (belated) NEW YEAR!!! My first cover of the year is probably not what a lot of people expected, but it's one that's really special to me. Not just because I love this song or this band (although I CERTAINLY do), but because, if you've been following me on social media, you know that several short months ago, I was actually in the music video for this song!! Yes, that's right! I was actually IN an Ice Nine Kills music video!!!
And what better way to celebrate working with one of my favorite bands than by... well, covering their song? :D And that's exactly what I've done today! Our next cover in this years Christmas lineup is another timeless classic sung constantly at this time of year, Sleigh Ride. And this was a fun one to do because I kinda got to go back to my roots on this one! I always love covering songs with an old-timey, jazzy twist to them, especially if its on piano, so while this song has never been at the top of my priority list, I still really enjoyed covering it! :)
