Faraji Boum, the father of UCLA professor Aomar Boum, is thought to be be Morocco’s last known rekkas, a mail courier who walked thousands of miles delivering letters under colonial rule.
In honor of his life and legacy, Professor Boum and his daughter Maggie turned the elder Boum’s story into a graphic history — a tribute to resilience, memory and forgiveness.
