#LastKingdom Season 4 episode 1 is coming April 26. So I thought it would be a good time to look back at one character whose story came to end last season. Aethelwold (Æthelwold) at the beginning of this story he very much was a privileged, immature, irresponsible boy, showing no real promise as a future leader of Wessex. Though as we follow him through the series and he faces battles, new characters and challenges he develops hugely. Who else can't wait for 4x01 (Season 4) of The Last Kingdom!

The Last Kingdom is set during their invasion of England, the Danes capture Uhtred, a young successor of Saxon earldom, and raise him as their own. Years later, Uhtred's loyalties are put to the test by the Danes.
