Lost Battlefields w Tino Struckmann | THE LAND BATTLESHIP - FORT 1881 HOEK VAN HOLLAND @tinostruckmann | Uploaded 1 year ago | Updated 1 day ago
There are throughout history forts you just have to take a closer look at, the sea side fort guarding the entrance to the port of Rotterdam is one of them. It was constructed in the late 1900 century and obsolete before it was ever completed.
Attempts to upgrade before WW1 never truly materialized, and yet after being abandoned for 20 years it was still manned on the eve of War in 1940.
It is such a special design that I have not seen one like it in memory so I had to show you and tell you its history.
I hope you will take the time to follow my channel and visit the website where documents and research is posted, and should you feel like helping out please join my patreon where we have private chats and you wont have commercials. It all helps me make more. https://www.patreon.com/tinostruckmann?fan_landing=true and the company website lostbattlefields.com
