Yesterday was my mom’s birthday. Today is Mother’s Day… crazy for me to think that she hasn’t been here for two of either of these. It is hard to be without her. I think about her often. I had planned to watch her favorite Indian movie last night… but I couldn’t bring myself to watch it (it’s not exactly my kind of movie), so instead my wife and I picked a movie we’d never seen. Fire and Ice. It was pretty bad. I had thought since I loved the Lord of the Rings by the same director, this would be as good, but I was mistaken. So, I didn’t really do anything to honor my mom, but I guess she’d have been just as happy knowing I was enjoying myself.
