The Gwendolyn S. & Colbert I. King Endowed Chair in Public Policy proudly presents an education-centered Conversation on Policy & Leadership moderated by Kaya Henderson, former Chancellor of DC Public Schools and an influential national leader in transformational school reform. This timely discussion brings together leading education scholars and practitioners to explore the future of public education, equity-centered leadership, community partnerships, and systemic innovation.
Kaya Henderson will guide a rich, multifaceted conversation with panelists Dr. Greg Carr, Chair of the Howard University Department of AfroAmerican Studies, and Dr. Janice Jackson, former CEO of Chicago Public Schools and Senior Fellow at the Aspen Institute. Additional reflections and commentary will be provided by Interim Provost Dawn Williams, Dr. Ivory Toldson, Director of Education Innovation and Research, and Thandwa Mdluli, M.S.Ed., second-year doctoral student in Counseling Psychology and President of the Counseling Psychology Graduate Student Association; and David Ogunlade, Economics and Political Science student representing emerging student leadership.
