The Kane Gang, named after the movie Citizen Kane, were an English pop trio consisting of Martin Brammer, Paul Woods and Dave Brewis. They recorded only two albums throughout the mid-80s for the label Kitchenware Records (which also notably featured Prefab Sprout), and a number of singles including Closest Thing To Heaven and Respect Yourself (cover of the Staple Singers song) as well as 1985’s Gun Law, which charted at only 53 in the UK.
