Reading most of George RR Martin's entire bibliography last year gave me so much insight into how his career led to the magnificent thing that is A Song of Ice and Fire. I wanted to share my thoughts, feelings, and findings about how his career led up to this magnum opus (and how so much of his other work is simply fantastic).
