The single-owner collection traces Mr John Shaw’s journey as a collector, reflecting his discerning eye for craftsmanship and artistry. The Shaw family is highly respected in Hong Kong, with Mr Shaw’s grandfather, Runde Shaw (1898-1973), having founded the Tianyi Film Company in the 1920s, which became Asia’s most prolific production company.
