First mainstream television performance for The Jackson 5 to promote the release of their single 'I Want You Back'.

A lot of people think that their first TV performance was on the Ed Sullivan show but actually this was about a month before that! I'm fairly sure that 'I Want You Back' was just lip-synched to the original recording in this performance, however it's very impressive to see Michaels vocal control in 'Can You Remember', he was only 11 at the time (but had to tell the media he was 9 for better publicity.)
