Dead Leaves is the anime equivalent of an imagination set free to do what it wants. In fact all of Hiroyuki Imaishi's more recent work seems to be that way. The man who created Studio Trigger is the arbitor of magical and insane anime where the plot doesn't matter, the experience does. And that's exactly what Dead Leaves is: an experience.
