Impossible figures such as the "impossible triangle" and the "infinite staircase" have been the object of fascination since their appearance in the popular culture. These paradoxical geometries challenge our perception of space, and make us wonder "What if reality worked differently?"

In this talk Matías Gárate will explain the key modelling principles to create these impossible figures in Blender, and present a break down of selected artworks to illustrate the ins and outs of making an impossible figure believable.
