In order to understand the decision making it is helpful to Draw from Neuroscience

I present a brand new model which divides the mind or the brain into the Instinctual mind or the Lizard brain, the habit center or Mouse brain, the emotional brain or Chimp Brain, and the rational reflective brain as the Owl Brain

With this Inner Council of four, I share three different scenario of how the inner Council of four works together to make decisions, and the usefulness of this in understanding one's own decisions and the decisions of others

There are a couple errors, to clarify: including the lizard brain or the Instinct brain mainly is associated with both cortisol and epinephrine, the mouse brain with dopamine, ane the chimp brain with seratonin and oxytocin


Stucturally the lizard brain is primarily the brain stem Medulla, Pons and RAS

The Mouse brain is primarily the Basal Ganglia and Cerebellum

The Chimp brain is primarily the Amygdala, Hippocampus, ans Hypothalmus

The Owl is primarily the prefrontal cortex
