Babbel | The Importance Of Language In Times Of Crisis (Documentary) @BabbelPlus | Uploaded September 2022 | Updated October 2024, 5 hours ago.
The war against Ukraine is causing millions to flee the country. People across Europe have stepped up to help during this massive migration, volunteering at train stations, opening their homes and finding other ways to get involved. At Babbel, employees came together to launch language courses for Ukrainian speakers to learn English, Polish or German. Here, we talk to the people that made it happen: Our engineers, translators and others who collaborated to launch this initiative, as well as some of the Ukrainian refugees who reflected on just how important language is in times of crisis. So far, nearly 400,000 Ukrainian speakers have started learning a new language with Babbel, with more joining every day.
