Hello again Step by Step Scientists! Today our guest speaker, Avery Swarthout will provide an introduction and engineering context to the ideal Brayton cycle for gas turbines.

He will begin by explaining the processes which make up a gas turbine and then show how to calculate the Brayton cycle’s important properties. Lastly, we will go through an example to show how an engineer would approach a design problem using cycle analysis tools.
