The Hurdy Gurdy-Tron is an MP3 music player that requires no power other than that generated by cranking the handle. I can't take credit for the idea, I met someone with one at the Prague Maker Faire producer's conference. I was very envious so I built my own. Now, when the end comes and the power goes out for good, at least I'll still have my 99 favorite tunes.
The box is constructed from a 400 year old Cedar tree that grew in Melrose Abby until a storm brought it down in 2016.
