It's been a REALLY long time since my last full length machine (almost a year, in fact) so I think it's finally time to post another one! This is my thirteenth machine that I've posted, and its goal is to flip over an hourglass. I hope you enjoy my comeback to machine building!
This machine has basically been sitting in my room unfinished for over half a year, and I just now got around to finishing it. A lot of stuff in the machine eventually broke down and stopped working well, and I didn't really feel like fixing them, so this machine pretty much just sat there. And after a while, this thing honestly started getting in the way. Because of this machine, I couldn't apply my new table coverings and I had to build my Machine Multiverse clips on a different table. After many months of this machine just sitting there gathering dust, I made a decision to finally finish this thing, no matter how long it took. And surprisingly, after I fixed a lot of the broken parts of the machine, it didn't take too many tries to get it to work! The resets were admittedly pretty annoying since the machine wasn't very stable and almost any vibration would set another part off, but it only took 49 tries, which is pretty low compared to most of my other stuff. Additionally, this is also the first video I edited with Shotcut. I'm not sure if this will be my permanent editor since there are a few annoying things with it, but it's still a step up from my old one xD
Overall, I'm pretty happy with the turnout of this machine. While I honestly wouldn't consider it one of my best machines, there are quite a few tricks in this one that I really like (such as the track pusher cup, the card slide, and the double-layer billiard ball chain.) It was built a while ago, so it's not nearly as clean or professional as some of my newer stuff (like my Machine Multiverse clips, close-up video for those coming soon) but still, I'm pretty pleased with how it turned out. At this point I'm mostly just glad that I can finally take this thing down xD
