Dr Rohini Godbole will discuss one of the next frontiers to be crossed in the everlasting march towards unravelling the mysteries of nature, the issue of Dark Matter(DM) in the Universe. In this context Dr Godbole will discuss the observations that compel scientists to believe that it exists and explore its connection with accepted theories of particle physics. She will also describe ways to probe its nature and properties at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC), the future electron positron colliders like the ILC as well as other experiments happening deep underground. Dr Godbole will use her own research work from the last few years to discuss Supersymmetric Dark Matter and the lightest supersymmetric particle.
