Recorded in EMI Studios, London, on 18 May 1966. This is the first Hollies recording to feature bassist Bernie Calvert. The song took 45 minutes to record, according to Bobby Elliott. Released on 17 June 1966 as a single. The song reached number 1 in Canada and number 5 in both the UK and the US. Song written by Graham Gouldman.
