Jeff Boder is a handsome, ambitious, and greedy young man who marries Jackie Winslow, a wealthy woman much older than himself, solely for her vast fortune. However, the marriage is quickly undermined when Jeff falls for Jackie's cynical and manipulative stepdaughter, Pamela. Desperate to secure his inheritance and be with Pamela, Jeff uses a mysterious statuette—a gift from his grandmother—that possesses dark, voodoo-like powers. He discovers that whatever happens to the figurine also happens to Jackie, and he begins to use this supernatural connection to systematically dismantle her life and health. Despite his ruthless plan, Jeff soon finds that tampering with dark forces leads to consequences he never anticipated.
