St1ka | The History of the Zeebo, Brazil's First Console (Feat. TopHatGamingMan) - St1ka's Retro Corner @st1ka | Uploaded December 2018 | Updated October 2024, 11 hours ago.
The Zeebo is a console launched in Brazil in 2009 by Tectoy, the same company who officially distributed all Sega consoles in the country and even created Duke Nukem 3D for the Sega Genesis.
The Zeebo console, was Tectoy's attempt at re-entering the console hardware market after Sega left it, the idea was to create a cheap gaming system which could play downloadable games and then market it for the emerging markets. However, the console was a commercial failure. Today, me and Tophat Gaming Man take a look at its history.
