This year, the Master of Liberal Arts at The Johns Hopkins University is celebrating its 60th Anniversary. Founded in 1962, The Master of Liberal Arts was the first interdisciplinary program with a focus on the history of ideas in the US.
Join Historian and MLA Associate Director Dr. Tristan Cabello, on Wednesday, November 16th, to learn more about the history of the program. Dr. Cabello will talk about the centrality of the MLA program at the Johns Hopkins University, its connection to the city of Baltimore, and its significance in the history of interdisciplinary studies in America.
Dr. Tristan Cabello will be joined by Dr. Melissa Hilbish, former director of the Master of Liberal Arts, and several long-serving faculty members.
