Today, James and I drive out to Fort TIlden, Queens to explore the many abandoned buidlings left over from World War II. First we explore the decaying warehouse close to the parking lot. After that, we head deeper into the overgrown paths that used to be the military base, with stops at many small buildings and Battery Harris. We then crawl down into long forgotten bunker hidden under one of the sand dunes visible from Fort Tilden Beach. After discovering a pretty creepy Grim Reaper on one of the walls, we decide to head out explore the last set of abandoned houses before heading back to Brooklyn.
