Pennathan Rite has been accused by his own flesh and blood of being a heretic and now he will stand trial. However, his uncle is also standing accusation that he is the one who has caused King Graphi Rite to remain ill even though he is supposedly nursing the ailed king back to health. There are threats made and plans carried out in the stormy night that may lead to some of those accusations being proven true when someone is pushed to the brink...
