Aigerim was diagnosed with bilateral sensorineural hearing loss as a child. At 17, she received a cochlear implant and went on pursue her studies at university. Aigerim loves to sing and has been a finalist in international festivals and competitions.
In September 2025, Aigerim and eight other Hearpeers Mentors from around the world traveled to Innsbruck, Austria, to perform at the Hearpeers Anniversary Concert.
These hearing implant users took to the stage to showcase their musical talents, performing a range of genres, from Austrian folk music to self-composed Spanish rock ballads. The Hearpeers Anniversary Concert was a moving reminder of the life-changing potential of hearing implants.
