Nebula Instruments invited me to play with their Euphone - a Baschet Crystal inspired instrument. Euphones are self-sounding instruments, which use friction to produce sound. I only ever experienced their sound as samples, which are useful for scoring otherworldly scenes in media. But they are a far cry from the dynamics of the original, as I discovered when we set up in a church in Magdeburg.
