Pancreatic elastase is one of the more useful stool markers for assessing digestive function, and I see it being often overlooked ALL THE TIME!
When it’s low, food isn’t being broken down properly. That shows up as bloating, gas, loose stools, undigested food, and ongoing food sensitivities. Sounds a lot like SIBO. I even seen cases of SIBO vanish overnight when we address this marker for the right patient.
