The Gruesome Truth Of How Mulan’s Dad Got His War Injury...
Mulan wasn’t the only member of her family that became a war hero and was praised by the Emperor. Her father Fa Zhou also made quite a reputation for himself. Judging by the way that Zhou carried himself and how others reacted to the Fa family name in the film, two things are clear. The first was that Fa Zhou was a war hero who fought for China in a war that greatly affected the empire, and the second being that he had clearly got a crippling injury somewhere along the way. Well, after rewatching Mulan and combing through a couple of history books, it’s seeming much more likely that Mulan’s father got his gruesome leg injury in the same battle that earned him such a prestigious lifestyle.
