Chaos Ensues with this exploration of the history of Fantastic Four comics in the 1970s. Covering issues 103-216, annuals, Marvel Two-In-One.
This decade starts with the departure of Jack Kirby. Artists John Romita and John Buscema take over as series artists. After Stan Lee leaves, Roy Thomas takes over as writer. Other artists during this time include Rich Buckler, George Perez, Keith Pollard, Ron Wilson, Ramona Fradon and John Byrne.
70s FF doesn’t add as many new concepts but builds on the old ones. Luke Cage joins the team, Galactus gets a new herald with Terrax, the origin of Annihilus is told, Franklin Richards gets powers, Agatha Harkness becomes a major player in the series. There’s also a new Fantastic Four cartoon in 1978. Also, why was The Thing so popular in the 70s?
