Only in a totalitarian state does anyone have to agree with someone else. Our freedom to have our own opinions and to speak them without fear is a hallmark of a free society.

It’s quite astonishing that this should have to be pointed out to anyone, but here we are. This is a good time to remind ourselves that in America, we get to be who we want to be and do what we want to do as long it doesn’t threaten or harm someone else.

At such a time as this, don’t just remember that. Hold onto as a sacred duty.
