At last the Great British Sewing Bee is back. Series 11 starts Tuesday July 15th BBC1 at 9pm. As we hadn't seen it in its usual slot, I was thinking they'll save it for Autumn when the days are dark early, but no it's now, so for the next 10 weeks of Summer we've got Sewing Bee (that or Love Island!!)
Because of this Summer slot it means my old colleague from my teaching days Ting will be able to join us too as he'll be on his holidays! So that stays the same. However our sister show with Master Tailor / Couturier - Caryl Alayne won' be running as Carol's workload is through the roof AND there are plans in to do more sewing masterclasses on her platform which will be WONDERFUL!
We look forward to watching the show and talking about it with you all, following the sewists over 10 weeks and finding our favourites together! We say it every year, despite the odd moan or throwing of a slipper or too at the tv in frustration, (usually at the production format I have to say) there is still much to celebrate having a sewing show on mainstream tv. So let's get behind the next 12 sewists and see what they can create. If you're one of the 12 sewists watching.....I hope it's a enjoyable, not too hard watch for you!
