The First Doom Scenario (Crown of Thorns Starfish) Updated version
Although the world has been led to believe that climate change is killing the reef, the first doom-story about the reef began far before global warming was a ‘thing’. In the 1960s, scientist discovered crown-of-thorns-starfish were eating vast tracts of coral reef. But what does recent research say about these plagues? The answer is very encouraging, but raises questions about quality assurance systems used in science institutions.
