In this project, we're working with Tim Holtz Halloween Stams, an old-fashioned undertaker and cemetery theme, combining aged papers, funeral advertising, botanical pieces, handwritten documents, a vintage portrait, skull imagery, and tiny embellishments to create something that feels like a collection of mysterious papers discovered long ago.
One of my favorite things about this project is that the story isn't completely explained. Who was The Grave Keeper? Why were these papers saved together? That's part of the fun—the ephemera gives us clues, but we get to imagine the rest.
During the replay you'll see how I:
• Build the folio base
• Create layered pockets and tuck spots
• Combine different pieces of vintage-style ephemera
• Add dimension without overwhelming the project
• Use tags and removable pieces to make the folio interactive
• Add small details and embellishments that help tell the story
• Turn a collection of paper pieces into a finished Halloween keepsake
