Every wrong name she ever called the mailman was the name of someone she had loved.
An eleven-year-old boy went to his grandmother's house for tea every Sunday afternoon. On most Sundays Eleanor was perfectly Eleanor. But on some Sundays, she was beginning to forget. She buttered the toaster instead of the toast. She greeted the mailman with a salute and a hello, Captain. She told the priest the wedding-night joke she had been telling for fifty-two years and made him spill his tea on the rug.
And then, on the second Sunday in February, she opened the front door and called her grandson by her dead son's name.
This is a story about Sunday afternoons across a year, an eleven-year-old who learned to be his own father, and the slow tender devastating realization that every wrong name his grandmother ever called somebody was the name of a person she had loved.
For the brain that loses names is not always losing them. Sometimes it is returning them. One by one. On the slow way out the door.

📖 THE STORY
On Sunday afternoons, an eleven-year-old boy named Theo went to his grandmother's house for tea. His grandmother's name was Eleanor, but she preferred Nana, and she lived alone in a small white-clapboard house on a quiet street with a maple tree out front and a mailbox that said E. WHITMORE in faded gold letters. On most Sundays Eleanor was perfectly Eleanor. She baked oatmeal cookies. She told the same stories about her wedding-night fight over a misplaced cufflink. She could win a card game with the patience of a woman who had been winning card games since 1962. But on some Sundays, Eleanor was beginning to forget. Small things at first. She buttered the toaster instead of the toast. She called the dog by the cat's name even though the cat had died nine years before. She greeted the mailman, who was a tall thin Black man named Larry, with a salute and a hello, Captain. Larry, who had known Eleanor for twelve years, smiled and saluted back. He had stopped correcting her. Theo's mother had told him to stop correcting her too. Theo was very good at not correcting her. He was eleven.
By the third Sunday in November, Eleanor had begun adding people Theo did not know to her sentences. She told Theo, while peeling an apple, that the doctor would be very pleased about the test results, sweetheart, you must remember to thank him. Theo asked what doctor. Eleanor looked at him for a long moment as if he were the one losing his memory, and she said, the doctor who delivered both of us, of course, your grandfather Whitmore. She had not, Theo knew, ever called her own father grandfather Whitmore. She had called him only Daddy. Theo nodded. He thanked the doctor in his head. The next Sunday, while sorting the napkins, Eleanor told Theo that Mr. Henderson, who lived next door, had called to ask for the recipe for her famous lemon cookies again. Theo did not know who Mr. Henderson was. The house next door had been empty for seven years. Theo nodded. He said, you should give it to him, Nana. Eleanor smiled and said, of course I will, my love. The recipe was already on the counter beside the toaster, written in her careful blue-ink cursive, signed with her name and the date — December 1976.

🔥 SLOW BURN STARTER — A Neo-Soul Story About First Love
Some people dont stay forever. They just change you forever. This is the story of a first love that burned bright and brief—the kind that teaches you how to feel before it teaches you how to let go.

🎵 FULL LYRICS
[Verse 1]
You tasted like a question I wasnt ready to answer
Your hand fit in mine like a secret Id keep
We moved slow, deliberate, like we had forever
But forever was just a rented room downtown
[Chorus]
Slow burn starter, you lit me up
Now Im still burning but youre not enough
Slow burn starter, you taught me how
To love something I cant hold onto now
[Verse 2]
Your laugh had edges, sharp and real
Not the polished kind they sell on screens
You showed me what it meant to want something
That wasnt meant to be mine to keep
[Chorus]
Slow burn starter, you lit me up
Now Im still burning but youre not enough
Slow burn starter, you taught me how
To love something I cant hold onto now
[Bridge]
Maybe thats the whole point, yeah
Maybe some people arent meant to stay
Theyre meant to change the shape of you
Leave scars that dont hurt anymore
Just remind you that youre alive
[Outro]
Slow burn starter
Youre still here, even when youre gone
Slow burn starter
Youre the first love I cant unfeel

![Phantom
👻 PHANTOM | Drill Heartbreak
Shes become a ghost in his life—invisible but unforgettable. A drill anthem about being erased from someones world while haunting their every move. Raw, cold, and brutally honest.
What song should we create next? Drop your ideas in the comments!
🎵 FULL LYRICS
[Verse 1]
You walk past me like Im made of air
Still in the group chat, but you dont care
Im a ghost in your phone, a name you scroll past
You killed what we were, now youre moving fast
See you laughing with her friends, that was my seat
Now Im watching from the outside, incomplete
You act like Im nothing, like I never was real
But you check if Im online—bet you know how I feel
[Chorus]
Im a phantom, phantom
Haunt you in the silence, phantom
You erased me but Im still here
Ghost in your world, crystal clear
Phantom, phantom
You cant see me but you feel the chill
Im a phantom and I always will
[Verse 2]
Your new girl dont know the things that I know
All the broken promises, the way love can go
You rewrote the story, made me the villain
But every scar you left behind is still filling
My mind at 3am when youre sleeping sound
Im the silence between you and what you found
You moved on quick but your guilt moves slow
Im the phantom you cant let go
[Bridge]
Dont call my name like you miss what we had
Dont look back when you think that Im sad
You made your choice, now live with the cost
Im the one thing you cant get lost
[Outro]
Phantom, phantom
Yeah, Im still here
Phantom
