Yesterday was one of the most incredible days of my life.
When I first dreamed about building the Kickass Store, I hoped people would enjoy it. I never imagined the amount of love and support that was shown yesterday. Seeing so many people come together, whether you came from right here in our community or traveled from hours away, is something I’ll never forget.
I also want to thank my dad. Back in 2001, we started with just five flavors of jerky. I don’t think either of us could have imagined where that journey would take us. Today we’re selling in 30 states, and now this store is another chapter in that story. This place is the result of years of hard work, taking chances, learning from mistakes, and never giving up. Thank you for helping lay the foundation that made all of this possible.
To my team, thank you from the bottom of my heart. You are so much more than employees to me. You’re family. You believed in this vision, worked countless hours, and gave everything you had to make this dream a reality. None of this would have been possible without you, and I will never be able to thank you enough.
Thank you to the food trucks, the musicians, the vendors, and everyone else who helped make the day such a success. Every one of you helped create something really special.
And to every single person who has supported me over the years, whether you’ve watched my videos, shared a post, bought a bag of jerky, stopped into the store, or simply believed in what we’re building, thank you. Without your support, none of this would exist. You have allowed me to live a dream that I’ve been chasing for years, and I don’t take that for granted for even a second.
I’ll be honest, I teared up more than once yesterday. Looking around and seeing so many smiling faces, families making memories, and people just enjoying themselves was everything I hoped this place could be.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for believing in this dream with me. This is so much more than a store to me. It’s a place where people can come together, make memories, and just enjoy life for a little while.
